My first lesson on photography was from the newspaper photographer whose used camera I bought in college. He spent 10 minutes showing me its three main controls, then said, “Go out and shoot.” My second, and last lesson was to never stop shooting, there's always something new to learn in the process.
This site is divided into the three distinct areas that I love to shoot: the beach; Philadelphia - my home; and travel. Hopefully you will see, in all of my images, the emotion that I feel wherever I make photos. If you can "read" the photo, you'll get to know who I am. this is what art is to me, trying to convey to the viewer who we are, what is important to us, and that we have a strong desire to share. If you don't want to dig that deep into it, I get it. I hope you'll simply think it's a nice shot.
For those of you wondering about AI, most of my shots are straight from the camera, with minor corrections or amplifications. However, I do, occasionally, like to experiment with different techniques and software to make my images interesting and unique. This should be visibly apparent when you see those photos.
